TITLE: Business Development Lead

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Regular

LOCATION: HQ’d in Kansas City but accepting remote applicants.

COMPENSATION: Salary + Bonus + Equity

OVERVIEW:

Bungii is a rapidly growing, tech-enabled company that is disrupting the transportation industry. We’ve been compared to popular ride-sharing apps but instead of moving people, we move products. Our niche is on-demand, large item, last mile delivery and a major distribution channel is partnering with top national brands. Founded in 2015, we’ve raised venture capital funding from top investors nationwide. 

Our team has spent the last couple years laying the foundation and now the pieces are in place for rapid expansion. As we continue our aggressive growth, we’re looking for a sales pro to join our Partnerships & Growth team. 

The person we are looking for is competitive, gritty, solution-oriented, data-driven, customer obsessed and is able to work both independently and with teams to get things done. They leverage data and analysis to make informed decisions and develop robust solutions. Most importantly they love the thrill of building unique solutions to solve a client’s problems.

 WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Achieve a deep understanding of the last mile, big and bulky delivery industry and how the Bungii value proposition can drive growth with business partners; own the deal process by strategically prospecting, establishing relationships and building trust with key partners
  • Oversee partner prospecting, implementation and growth
  • Build lasting relationships, solution selling and positively influence prospects and partners
  • Analyze the key metrics of partner’s business to understand the drivers of growth and expansion
  • Manage client needs and developing new offerings and opportunities
  • Drive key business insights and recommend scalable growth strategies
  • Achieve and consistently exceed quarterly/annual goals and OKRs 
  • Support CRO in creative business growth, new strategic partnership strategies, and team process development
  • Build, lead and coach business development team
  • Work closely with operations, marketing, product and technology teams to grow the business

 WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Capacity to move fast and as well as an eagerness to take on new roles and responsibilities as needed
  • Self-motivated and comfort working with little direction
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration (Finance or Marketing) or a quantitative discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of business development experience
  • Management consulting experience for a high growth technology, retail or logistics company preferred
  • Not afraid to get dirty and roll up your sleeves to achieve results
  • Excellent quantitative/analytical skills
  • Confident, poised and articulate presenter and communicator
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ownership
  • The ability to rapidly adapt to changing environments
  • Proven project management and client service experience
  • Passion and experience working in or serving clients in the shared economy and/or logistics industry
  • Analytical mindset and strong use of data-driven decision making
  • Some travel required
