POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The API Integration Specialist is responsible for assisting with and testing integration into the Bungii platform. Our partner’s systems leverage APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), and sometimes EDI, for our robust integrations. This requires developing an understanding of the systems and the APIs themselves to design, develop, and implement the integrations. This position plays a crucial role in improving efficiency, data accuracy, and overall business operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Onboard Clients and Partners
- Coordinate and lead planning, testing, and troubleshooting sessions with technical teams from our clients and partners.
- Be available to assist with onboarding meetings and technical queries throughout the day, supporting complex issues beyond the expertise of the internal team.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of technical concepts to customers of varying technical expertise.
- Troubleshoot API and Portal Issues
- Quickly respond to and resolve integration and portal issues, including errors impacting order processing and rejected API orders, to minimize revenue loss and operational disruptions.
- Log, track, and prioritize issues.
- Escalate critical issues to appropriate teams.
- Monitor incident resolution and provide timely updates to customers.
- Update Pricing & Lead Times
- Efficiently update pricing and lead times configurations within our systems to reflect current business needs, ensuring timely adjustments as required.
- Manage Employee Accounts
- Handle TMS (Transportation Management System) user account management tasks such as password resets, account creation, and deactivation for Bungii employees.
- Knowledge Base Management
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation, including knowledge base articles and FAQs.
- Contribute to the development of self-service tools and resources.
- Product Testing
- Test new product releases and updates to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Provide feedback to development teams on product improvements.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with various internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery and customer satisfaction.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of API concepts, including request/response cycles, authentication, and error handling
- Experience troubleshooting API issues
- Ability to read and interpret API documentation to understand endpoints, parameters, and data formats
- Experience with tools like Postman and cURL to make API requests and analyze responses
- Understanding of data parsing and manipulation in API, specifically extracting and processing data from API responses
- Experience in process improvement and optimization
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and API development frameworks
- Excellent communication skills, with a track record of collaborating effectively with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Operations) and external partners
