POSITION DESCRIPTION
The growth-focused Client Executive develops long-term relationships with our existing key accounts and maximizes the opportunities within them. Through a consultative and creative sales approach, this role develops tailored solutions that meet the client’s strategic goals and deliver measurable returns on investment. This is not an account manager position. This role is driven to grow revenue within the existing key client base in a way that reflects the tenacity of a growing start-up company.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Client Focus – 65%
- Create and maintain relationships with varying levels of the account base
- Create and develop an Account Planning document on each Key account
- Conduct weekly business touchpoints and formal Quarterly Business Reviews
- Continually develop strategic plans for expansion opportunities in accounts
- Present demos for new/expanded solutions
- Work with the Client Coordinator to ensure day-to-day support and overall account health
- Update Salesforce with account info and sales activity
- Monitor email campaigns and cadences
- Pricing, Proposal, and Contract Management – 20%
- Work with the team to build custom pricing and develop SOW based on expansion opportunities
- Review redlines with the appropriate parties
- Prepare additional documents and addendums as needed
- Internal Meetings and Collaboration – 10%
- Work with Marketing to develop sales materials for Account-Based Marketing efforts
- Collaborate with Sales Operations on business strategy, coverage, and timeline
- Coordinate with Product regarding prospect feedback and integration
- Communicate with Operations regarding account feedback
- Professional Development – 5%
- Participate in training sessions and online webinars
- Attend industry conferences and events
- Keep up to date with industry news and trends
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 8+ years experience in business development, account growth, client success, or strategic partnerships in technology
- Experience at a high-growth / early-stage startup is preferred
- Proven success selling to Fortune 500 accounts
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (e.g., Finance, Marketing, etc.) or a quantitative discipline preferred
- Energetic, self-motivated, and comfortable working with little direction, a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and ownership
- Experience in the shipping, last mile, supply chain, or logistics space is preferred
- Naturally optimistic and not afraid to get dirty and roll up your sleeves to achieve results
- Confident, poised, and articulate presenter and communicator
- Analytical mindset and strong use of data-driven decision-making
- Willingness to travel every few weeks for prospect/client meetings, as well as industry conferences
